Stainless steel fastener locking solution

Reasons why stainless steel fasteners are locked

Stainless steel fasteners lock high-incidence situations or industries

300 series fasteners are prone to locking situations: flange connectors (such as pump valves, printing and dyeing equipment), railway industry, curtain wall industry, high-altitude locking operations and power tool locking situations, etc.

How to prevent stainless steel fasteners from locking

1. Choose the product correctly

(1) Before use, determine whether the mechanical properties of the product meet the customer's requirements (such as the tensile strength of bolts and the safety load of nuts;)

(2) The length of the bolt should be selected appropriately, based on the pitch of 1-2 nuts that leak out after tightening;

(3) It is recommended to use the new Schindler anti-lock nut in situations where lock-up is common;

(4) The threads should be kept clean before using the product;

2. How to use stainless steel fasteners correctly. In order to reduce the occurrence of locking, it is recommended that the correct operations are as follows:

(1) When tightening, attention should be paid to the direction of the arm wrench force to coincide with the axis of the screw and not to be tilted.

(2) During the tightening process, the force must not exceed the safe torque and must be even. Try to use a torque wrench or sleeve to use it together.

(3) Locking too fast may cause locking. It is recommended not to use electric or pneumatic wrenches.

(4) Keep the threads clean. In order to keep the screws and nuts working smoothly, it is recommended to take out the product in a clean container and do not place it randomly.
